NFP Group began with a group of friends and professionals who had personally experienced the frustrations of building their own homes. They faced hidden costs, inconsistent work quality, and zero accountability. More importantly, they discovered that these weren’t isolated cases — many others had similar horror stories.

How It All Started
After spending 20 years in the professional world, MSC Menon, co-founder of NoFalsePromise.com, decided to build his dream home in Bangalore. He had saved for it his entire life. Naturally, he wanted to choose the best construction partner.
A Market Full of Confusion
Despite hundreds of construction companies in the market, choosing one wasn’t easy. They all looked the same online. To make a smarter decision, he reached out to friends who had recently started their own construction projects.
Unfortunately, their stories were anything but reassuring.
Stories That Opened His Eyes
One friend had paid a company upfront. The company took four months just to assign a contractor. That contractor then waited another two months before assigning a subcontractor.
By then, the project had already lost six months.
Worse, after multiple layers of commission cuts, the subcontractor was left with little to work with. To save costs, he compromised on material quality and workmanship.
When the homeowner complained, the company brushed it off. Only when legal action was threatened did they agree to replace the contractor — but only if the customer paid an additional ₹5 lakh.
When Cheaper Goes Costlier
Another friend took a different route. He hired a local contractor directly, thinking it would be more affordable.
At first, things looked fine. But halfway through the project, the contractor demanded a big advance for materials. Once paid, he vanished. Despite filing a police complaint, the friend couldn’t recover the money.
Finding a new contractor midway was both stressful and expensive.
